Cost: $ USD 2400 per person –  Euro 1950 per person

The cost include: services of an Mountain Guide, all transfers as shown in the program, the cablecars tickets as shown in the program,half board in mountain hut .

The cost not include: half board in the valley, transfer from/to airport, lunch in the valley, pack lunch in the mountain, airfare and anything not specified.

The Program

Arrival – Sat

Travel to Saas Fee, to arrive in time for the Evening Briefing. Your guide will run through safety routines and kit checks, as well as hand out rental equipment for the week, before we go on to a detailed discussion of everyones ambitions for the week, together with the current weather and mountain conditions and how these affect our planning. We’ll also have maps and guidebooks to show you, so if you’ve any further questions or last minute requests, then this is the ideal time to bring them up before we head on to dinner. Day 1 – Sun

Allalinhorn (4027m). Acclimatisation day
We take the Metro Alpin lift up to its last station. From here follow up glacier to the summit. we return to teh top of Metro Alpin lift and from here to Saas Fee. Acclimatisation Climb. Recap of existing skills and ascent of an acclimatisation peak. Day 1 is normally a warm up day in order to find your feet on alpine terrain again and get used to the altitude. Overnight in the Valley.

Day 2 – Mon

Saas Fee – Almageller hut.
A nice gentle morning walk positions us at the Almageller hut for the afternoon. In the afternoon we have time to brush up on our alpine skills, rope work. Stay overnight in the hut. Overnight in the hut.

Day 3 – Tue

Weissmies (4023m)
An early start is needed to traverse the Weissmies (4023m) via the SW ridge. This is an interesting rock scramble with a snow crest leading to the summit. After taking in the fantastic views we descend down the WNW flank which passes through some spectacular crevasses and seracs. We spend the night in the Hosaas hut. Overnight in the hut.

Day 4 – Wed

Lagginhorn (4010m)
Our next big peak is the Lagginhorn (4010m) ascended by the WSW ridge from the Weissmies hut. The route is mostly on rock until the final mixed summit slope. The summit is an exposed airy perch perfect for lunch and photos. We descend via the same route and on to Saas Fee for a night in the valley. Overnight in the Valley.

Day 5 – Thu

Saas Fee – Britannia Hut.
We take the Metro Alpin lift up to its mid station and traverse round to the Britannia hut where we stay overnight. Overnight in the hut.

Day 6 – Fri

Strahlhorn (4190m)
This massive snow peak gives a long ascent from the Britannia hut. Fantastic views looking towards Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Follow up the long glacier to the summit. We return to the hut for the night. Overnight in the hut.

Day 7 – Sat

Alphubel (4206m).
We take the Metro Alpin lift up to its last station. From here follow up glacier and the rock redge to Alphubeljoch. The main difficulty starting here with the Eisnase, wich – as the name implies – can be icy once the route ha dried out due to hot weather. Drop down to Langflue and from there with lift system to Saas Fee. Overnight in the Valley. End of program.

After a night of well-deserved rest, departing from Saas Fee for your destination.
