A period of one on one guiding with our core team, concentrating on ascents of the big classics of the Alps.

If you have a dream, with the fitness and ability to match – then this could be the year to make it happen.”

The aim is to climb classic routes in the AD to D+ range, but we are also able to extend this to attempt routes as hard as your ability, inclination and conditions will allow.
A lot of time and effort goes into planning these weeks, as we discuss ideas with each client to suggest dates for particular routes and inspiring alternatives should conditions dictate a change of plan.

Day 0 - Sun
Arrival

Travel to Courmayeur, to arrive in time for the Evening Briefing.

Your guide will run through safety routines and kit checks, as well as hand out rental equipment for the week, before we go on to a detailed discussion of everyones ambitions for the week, together with the current weather and mountain conditions and how these affect our planning. We’ll also have maps and guidebooks to show you, so if you’ve any further questions or last minute requests, then this is the ideal time to bring them up before we head on to dinner.

Day 1 - Mon

6.00am – 4.00pm: Acclimatisation Climb.

Ascent of a high quality alpine route to brush up on skills and confirm your fitness and ability. If we haven’t climbed with you before, then this is particularly important you want to climb routes in the upper grades. Acclimatisation routes are chosen with our plans for the rest of the program in mind – so depending on weather and conditions, we may stay in a mountain hut overnight or return to the valley.
This day you’ll need a packed lunch, as we’ll be out all day.

From Day 2 - to Day....

Alpine Grand Courses.

A varied and challenging program of climbing tailored to your ability and ambitions. Our guides select some of the highest quality climbs in the range, to make best use of weather and conditions. Typical objectives might include:
– Aiguille de Bionassay Royal Crest
– Durrenhorn, Hohberghorn, Stecknadelhorn, Nadelhorn - Nadelgrat route
– Mont Blanc Brenva Spur
– Dent Blanche
– Weisshorn
Climbing Conditions on Grand Courses – please note that for ice and mixed climbing (especially in couloirs and on face routes) cooler weather and good climbing conditions are essential. If face routes are not possible, then we can usually climb good quality mixed ridge routes or other good alternatives.
